During the Millennial era, the word “Staycation” was introduced which was defined as a period in which an individual or family stays home, participates in leisure activities within driving distance and sleeps in their own beds at night. The family might make day trips to local tourist sites, swimming venues, or engage in fun activities or an educational visit to museums. Most of the time, a staycation involves dining out more frequently than usual. (Wikipedia)

In the recent shift in the real estate industry, most development are zeroing on this type of community wherein residents don’t have to travel far to enjoy the feeling of being on a vacation.

To further indulge you with in this art, Good Housekeeping Philippines, the number one family and home magazine in the Philippines, collaborates with Serin East, Avida’s first residential retreat in Tagaytay, to vivify and redefine the art of staycation. This collaboration also helped produce a special supplement that will allow readers to experience life in Serin East.

This 16-page special supplement will be distributed in the afternoon affair at the Avida Showroom in Glorietta on July 18, 2015, where guests will take part in crafting activities, such as rubber stamp-making to be demonstrated by Urban Abode, and DIY take-away succulents by Smarty Plants PH. Urban Abode will also enlighten event guests with a talk on space styling.

These crafting activities excites me, as a self-confessed home improvement enthusiast, I just couldn’t pass on this type of opportunity.

Redefining “weekend getaways,” Serin East will present a model unit designed by Lucina Home, which embodies the essence of living every day like a vacation. Its rustic chic design gives guests a glimpse of a relaxed and comfortable lifestyle.

Personally, I have long envisioned my family living a laidback yet having much fun in a Tagaytay residence. Tagaytay gives you the best of both worlds, a vacation ambiance plus the fun of having the city amenities.

Serin East Tagaytay is strategically situated in Cavite's most coveted vacation hotspot and is less than 5 minutes away from the Tagaytay rotunda. With its purpose of bringing vacation living to greater heights, Avida’s first project in a leisure destination provides its residents the pleasure of living their dream life to the fullest with its splendid exclusivity.
