For this food trip blog, let me share to you a food joint that I have been patronizing since a couple of years back and they recently opened their second branch: Bugis-Chomp Chomp.
The new branch has a better lighting and the ambience and is more inviting from the outside. Though the area is quite small and can comfortably accommodate 50 dine-in customers at any given time, the quality of food is never compromised.
Bugis is known for their authentic Singaporean Laksa, although Laksa is categorized as a Peranakan cuisine infusing Malay and Chinese fare, Singapore is the one who adapted it widely and developed its taste. Bugis’ Laksa(180) includes the customary Shrimp, Crab egg, Crab Claws, Fish ball, Tofu, bean sprouts and boiled egg. Their noodles are the real thing not unlike other joints that uses alternative noodles in their Laksa.
Another must-try is Bugis’ Beef Teriyaki(155). Their meat is very tender and the blend does not overpower the beef taste. Theirs comes with sunny side up egg and fried fish balls.
Bugis Chomp Chomp is also known patronized for their delicious Bugis Fruit juices, made with real fruits blended with ice into a velvety texture with just the right amount of sweetness.
