Christmas is indeed in the air as bazaars and food spots scattered all over the metro signaling that the holiday feast is here. Forget diet and leave them for the New Year as part of your resolution since it will be doubly hard to deter ourselves from gorging in the yumminess the world has to offer.
I recently experience the creamy affair brought by Alaska Crema during first weekend of November. Trinoma Activity center lit up with the yuletide fever as the prominent Red and Green hue dominated the area. Hand Picked food merchants known for their specialties take center stage as they showcase their delicious food products to foodies and the public.
Sweet and Savoury flavors will bring out the gourmand in everyone as you sample each booth, enjoying gastronomic offerings like there’s no tomorrow.
Alaska Crema have always been my kitchen companion whether dishing out an entrée or creating sweet endings. Its creamy delight can turn a simple recipe to a gourmet dish effortlessly.
The event was backed by two known foodie media: Asian Food Channel and Yummy Magazine, giving us more reasons to trust Alaska Crema in complementing our Christmas table.
Here are some of the known food concessionaires which have caught my attention:
Itlog ni kuya – These are nice alternative Organic salted Eggs that will be such a hit and trending now.

Peachy’s Goodies and Sweets – Lady baker Peachy serves bake to order, fancy and best quality cakes and pastries that can satisfy your sweet cravings. I got to taste some of her creations Strawberry Cupcake and Nutella Cheescake. Yum Yum.
Tsoko.Nut Batirol – Eye-catching lactation cookies! Tsoko.Nut Batirol is known for its special Tsokolate Ah Batirol, Kape Barako, Iced Banana Batirol. They also offer the best Spaghetti Aligue. Filipino favorites inlude Suman sa Mangga, Suman sa Latik, Ensaymada with Quezo de Bola, Bibingka with Kesong Puti and Itlog na Pula and Tablea Cake.
Batter Up by Florence – This confection haven is a home-based bake shop owned by a self-taught baker, Florence Bayer. The business started with it's famous triple choco fudge brownies. It expanded its varieties to cookies, cakes, cupcakes and customized cakes for special occasions
Custom Made Craft Center – CustomMade Crafts Center, Inc. (CMCC) is a sustainable social enterprise that connects modern-day lifestyles with indigenous life ways. CMCC partners and sources out products from indigenous and rural communities and markets them to contemporary consumers through mainstream and alternative channels. CMCC featured some great Christmas gift ideas as well as their homegrown product Organic Forest Honey.
ChefJonts – I particularly loved their Chocolate Friands and Nutter Butters. ChefJonts creates artisan cakes that are Instagram worthy.
Downtown Cookies – love their macaroons. Downtown Cookies is a cookie concept store owned by a young lady that loves cookies and chocolates. Downtown started baking their own cookies and never settled for an ordinary chocolate chip cookie. Constantly on the lookout for sweets to experiment with different ingredients and flavors to make a very unique cookie. For them, cookies are not limited in being flat and chewy but cookies can be stuffed, crispy, and even huge like a pizza.
Southern BBQ – The two long-time friends Anna Tugas and Marsie La Sangre have food businesses of their own when they decided to collaborate on a shared food business. After deciding to offer barbecues ("because they're easy to make," says Anna), the two were able to open a physical store in their BF Homes neighborhood. Since barbecue has always been a common viand, the two decided to put an edge and a spin to the staple meal by offering it with a side of garlic sauce, made out of Alaska Crema.
Rollyo Sushi Burrito- Japanese favorite given a lovely twists.
Oh My Gee – By far the creamiest Ube Halaya I have tasted. When i asked for their secret, they kept mum about it understandably. :)
