Aside from samosa and kebab, I can't think of other factor that will draw me to a Bollywood adventure until I experienced how Indian partyphiles raised the roof. Straight from a recent trip to Malaysia and Singapore where Indians are abundant, Hubby and I recently experience another Bollywood Scene here in Manila on a date night.
Partying the night away, House Manila was full of party-goers Indians and non-Indians alike who wanted to get a feel of the kind of music by internationally renowned DJ Akbar Sami. He is known to have pioneered the DJ music scene in his country with album hits such as “Jalwa,” “Jalwa 2” and “Jadoo” which are quite a hit at a bar I visited in Malaysia.

DJ Akbar started his career at an early age in his native India as a dancer where he became part of dance ensembles in popular Bollywood movies. From then on, he moved to become a well-known dance choreographer who then turned to being a DJ and musician.
The DJ has toured extensively, particularly in the US, for more than a decade. He recently ventured into singing with the remake of a classic Bollywood ditty called “Kabhi Kabhi.”
Thanks to travel company- Dream World USA who brought in Bollywood music to Manila as part of its objectives of creating a boom of international artists in the Philippines. The Bollywood party as such a hit as DJ Akbar brought to Pinoy partygoers his own brand of club hits.
“By bringing in DJ Akbar and acknowledging the Filipino’s reputation as ‘lovers of great music’ and the Philippines being a thriving party hub, we know that his brand of music will be a big hit among Filipinos,” said Sumeet Ramchandani, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dream World USA.
