If you are looking into celebrating Valentine’s Day differently this year, I suggest that you shy away from the boring full-course sit down date and dig into Chinese Cuisine and get into that romantic HK feel. Hong Kong is known for delectable Chinese cuisine that are adaptable to the global fusion taste buds.

Traditional Chinese cuisine are divided into several categories: Shandong, Fujian, Beijing, Shanghai, Hunan, Cantonese and Szechuan. Hong Kong Style falls on the Cantonese-Style which is what you can expect in dining at Honolulu Café PH.

If you happen to pass by one of their branch, it is inevitable not to notice their assorted roasted meats that are hanged that can leave passersby salivating. Honolulu offers these roasting specials:

Roast pork belly with crispy thin sheet of crackling skin and tender meat
Picture
Sweet-savory goodness of their thick slices of BBQ pork aka Asado

Tender Soy chicken that is cooked perfectly

Digging deeper into flavor if you must, you may try these other dishes that they offer:

Curry beef Brisket which reminds me of rendang style beef minus the rempeh.

Thousand Island Prawn is to die for. Succulent prawn meat encased in a crispy fried batter and enveloped in their signature catsup-mayo dressing

HK Popular street food Curry Fish Ball Served in Spicy fragrant sauce, I can truly taste the fusion into Szechuan flavor via their  Curry fish ball

Craving for carbohydrate?

They have an assortment of fried rice such as seafoof or try their spam nori.

They also have Stir fried noodles that boast of the wok-hei flavor unmistakably cooked on high fire

Take for example the Bo lou Bun aka pineapple bun which does not really have pineapple in the ingredients. You can opt for either the p[lain, with butter or with BBQ pork filling.

Their extremely flaky egg tart which is a marriage of HK and Portuguese style of which its pastry is so flaky with 192 layers complementing with the silky egg custard.

Take note though that their Cafe style pastries which are so popular that gets sold out in the afternoon, so come early!

Notable Drinks such as lemon Tea and HK condensed milk coffee. Though i did not get to try their red bean drink that day (Although, I suggest you try this too)
If you are one of those who visit Hong Kong just for their global cuisine then look no further as Honolulu Cafe PH serves these fusion dishes in 3 locations here in the Metro
